ABOUT ME

Hi! I'm Sandy!

I was born, raised, and now currently live in a small town in Southwest Minnesota.  I’m 54, married to my high school sweetheart, and together we have three grown children.   My husband and sons farm, raising corn, soybeans, and pigs.  I work part time at our local hospital, where my daughter also works.  I’m fortunate to have my kids return to the area so we can be involved in their adult lives.

I’ve always had a passion for anything involved in fashion.  I went to school for fashion merchandising and spent some of my years in retail.  I’m one who can shop all day, then come home and spend more time looking through magazines or websites for fashion ideas. I love how putting a look together can change your attitude and how you feel.

When I was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in March 2019, the discussion was chemotherapy and doctors confirmed I would lose my hair. I knew right away wigs were not for me so I started looking online for hats and scarf options.  I saw many sites for selling these items, but I hard time finding anything on how I make these options work for me in a fashion sense.  I wanted to see ideas of how to wear the hats and scarves on daily basis with the clothes out of my closet. I was just looking for reassurance that I could pull looks together and feel confident about myself without hair.  I felt my look was one thing I could control when everything else felt beyond my control.

So that is why I started this website with this goal in mind; I want women to be able to see ideas on how to put together looks using hats and scarves while going through their cancer journey.  I believe everyone needs to know they can do this, they can look and feel amazing despite the cancer.

I hope you enjoy looking around for ideas and try some out for yourself. I plan to update the style options regularly so please join our email list so you never miss an update.  I would also love if you would join me on Facebook or Instagram! God Bless you on your journey! ~Sandy
